Elevator Symposium, which has become traditional under the management of Izmir Branches on behalf of TMMOB Chamber of Electrical Engineers and TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, was held for the 10th time on 18-19-20 November 2021, the paper presentations were held online via zoom and youtube, and the opening session and panels were held face to face.
Opening speeches of the symposium supported by many institutions and organizations, MMO İzmir Branch President Melih Yalçın, EMO İzmir Branch Chairman Şebnem Seçkin Uğurlu, Aegean Elevator and Escalator Industrialists’ Association (EAYSAD) President Mert Öğüşlü, Turkish Elevator Industrialists’ Federation (TASFED) President Assistant Cem Bozdağ, MMO President Yunus Yener, EMO President Bülent Pala, and our Association Elevator and Escalator Industrialists’ Association (AYSAD) President Sefa Targıt.
Sefa Targıt, our Chairman of the Board of Directors, drew attention to the importance of holding the event for the tenth time and evaluated the development of the sector through the results declarations of the past events. Noting that professional chambers are making efforts to put academic thought ahead of scholastic thought in every field, Targıt noted that it is important for the industry to maintain the activity despite the pandemic conditions.
On the first day of the symposium, our Board Member Oğuzhan Bulgurluoğlu made a presentation in the panel titled “The Relationship Between Conformity Assessments and Periodic Controls of Elevators in Turkey, and Market Surveillance and Inspection”.
On the second day of the symposium, on behalf of our association, Prof. Dr. C. Erdem İmrak made a speech.
