The Machinery Summit 2025, organized by the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED), of which AYSAD is a founding member, brought together all industry stakeholders for the fifth time on November 26, 2025, at Fairmont Quasar, Istanbul, under the motto “New Future: Are You-A-Competitor?”
Organized with the aim of strengthening the machinery sector’s position in global competition and developing common future policies, the summit addressed the rapidly changing political and economic balances worldwide, as well as the impact of technological transformation on the industry.
The main topics of the program included the new multipolar world order, AI-enhanced transformation, new power blocks, trade wars, increasing protectionism, the twin transformation, and the competitive parameters shaped by AI.
MAKFED President Mr. Adnan Dalgakıran delivered the summit’s opening remarks, while other speakers included TİM President Mr. Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Zeynel Kılınç, Vice President of the Presidential Investment and Finance Office, and Raif Can, Director General of Trade Research and Risk Assessment at the Ministry of Trade.
Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, attended the meeting at noon. In his speech, he described the significant transformation Turkey has undergone in production, industry, and technology over the last 23 years, highlighting the strategic role of the machinery sector in the country’s development.
Minister Kacır continued: “We will always continue to stand with workers, producers, and those who work tirelessly for this country. We stand by and stand with all entrepreneurs who contribute to our vision of a greater, stronger, and more prosperous Turkey. We will continue to support our industrialists and manufacturers, as we have always done, in close collaboration. The machinery sector is among our most cherished sectors. Together, we will carry our country to its rightful place in the world in high-technology and value-added production. We will continue to coordinate with all our stakeholders to make our sector much more value-added and competitive. All the steps we take in this direction will be a new achievement for our machinery sector.”
The summit was attended by AYSAD Chairman Mr. Fevzi Yıldırım, our former term president and MAKFED Board Member Mr. Sefa Targıt, our Board Member Mr. Rıza Latif, our member Mr. Rıfat Demiröz, our Honorary Member and ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Erdem İmrak, our General Secretary Mr. Harun Şimşek, and our Communications Consultant Mr. Turhan Korkmaz. Also present were Delta Greentech, one of our members who sponsored the summit, along with its employees.
