The 17th Competition Congress, organized by the Federation of Sectoral Associations (SEDEFED), of which we are a member, was held on November 6, 2025, at the Sabancı Center-Levent, Istanbul.
The congress, themed “New Routes for Our Global Competitiveness,” was attended by the AYSAD delegation, including our President Fevzi Yıldırım, Rıza Latif, and Sedat Yıldız from the AYSAD Board of Directors; our members Fuat Durdağ; Ulvi Kadakal, also a member of the SEDEFED Board of Directors; and our Secretary General Harun Şimşek.

The congress addressed the impact of global and regional geopolitical rifts, multiple crises, trade wars, and technological breakthroughs on the business world.
Opening remarks were delivered by SEDEFED Board Chair Emine Erdem, TÜSİAD Chair Orhan Turan, TÜRKONFED Chair Süleyman Sönmez, TİM Acting Chair Adil Pelister, Competition Authority Board Member Ayşe Ergezen, TSE Chair Mahmut Sami Şahin, and Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan. Five panels and one closing session provided important information to attendees.

At the end of the congress, the SEDEFED Competition Awards were presented to the winners by Board Member Fügen Toksü.edildi.
